If you are driving down Mysore Road in the Hassan district, you will find Sri Lakshmi Brick Industries. We are located in that stretch between Sparsha Hospital and Punya Hospital. It is a busy road with a lot of traffic heading in and out of town, which keeps things lively around here. We have got a good-sized lot where we make and stack our bricks. The red soil around here is something else, and it is a big part of our daily life. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just wake up, check the kilns or the presses, and make sure the workers have what they need. There is always something that needs fixing, whether it is a leaky pipe or a stubborn engine. We do not have a marketing department or a fancy website. Most people just pull over when they see the stacks of bricks from the road. We talk to the local contractors and the farmers who are building new sheds. It is a straightforward way of doing business. The sun can be real hot out on the Mysore Road, so we start early to beat the worst of it. We have been here long enough that people use us as a landmark sometimes.
