We’re located out in Bidadi, specifically at the 15th Cross on 7th Main. Toyoto Kirloskar Auto Parts is a pretty big operation compared to some of the smaller shops around here. We spend our days dealing with various car components and making sure the production lines are moving along. Bidadi is a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s where all the industrial action is. The facility is large, and it can get quite hot inside during the summer months. We have a lot of people coming in for different shifts, so the place is almost never quiet. It’s a lot of metal, machines, and the smell of oil and grease. We don’t really have time for much else besides getting the parts out. The roads around the 15th Cross can get a bit rough with all the heavy trucks, but that’s expected in an industrial zone. We’ve got a system down for how things move from one section to another. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s steady work. Most of us have been here for years and know the layout by heart. We take our breaks in the designated areas and then get right back to the floor. It’s a very functional environment. There’s no corporate fluff in the way we talk to each other; we just get the work done and go home. The security gate can be a bit slow in the mornings, but we’re used to it.
