Sri Vijaylakshmi Brick Industry

Sri Vijaylakshmi Brick Industry is based at Door No. 2179/B on the 4Th Cross in the Kuvempu Nagar Extension of Ramnagaram. We are out here where there is still a bit of open space, which is necessary for a brickyard. The ground is often red with clay, and there are always rows of bricks drying in the sun. It’s a family-style operation where everyone knows their role and we don't need a lot of instructions to get through the day. Ramnagaram is known for its rocky landscape, and we use that to our advantage in the industry. Our office is a small room near the main gate where we keep the ledger books. It’s not very modern, but it serves its purpose for tracking the thousands of bricks that go out every week. The 4Th Cross can get a bit muddy during the monsoon season, which makes the work even tougher. We don't have any big slogans or corporate missions. We just wake up, check the weather, and start working the clay. It is a slow and steady process that requires a lot of patience and physical strength. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time, so we function like a well-oiled machine without needing much talk. It’s just the daily life of making bricks in Kuvempu Nagar, and we are happy to be part of the local landscape.
