Our shop is located in Tavarekere 3rd Cross, specifically on Mt Street in the Am Lane area. We are right in the Masjid Building, which most people around here know. The smell of new rubber is pretty strong when you walk in because of all the tyres stacked up. We spend our time lifting heavy wheels and using the machines to get the balance right. It is physical work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. The street outside is narrow and can get quite packed with vehicles and people. We have a few benches where we keep the wrenches and air gauges. Some days it is just one puncture after another, and other days we are changing full sets for trucks or cars. We don't have a lot of extra space, so we have to keep the stacks of tyres neat. The building itself is quite old, but it stays cool enough in the shade. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time, so we see a lot of the same faces. We don't use fancy equipment, just the stuff that has worked for us for years. It is a loud environment with the air compressor running, but we don't mind. We just focus on the wheels and getting people back on the road.
