Carborundum Universal Ltd

Carborundum Universal Ltd is situated out at Plot No. 77 on the Jigani-Rommansandra Link Road. Being in the Jigani Industrial Area means we are surrounded by a lot of other factories and warehouses. It’s a lot of grey concrete and big gates around here. Our place is pretty much the same as the neighbors. We have a large yard and a building that’s built for work, not for looks. Every morning, the road gets packed with buses and lorries, so getting here can be a bit of a struggle if you don't time it right. Once we’re inside, it’s all about the noise of the machines and the smell of the industrial park. We have a small office section, but most of the action happens in the back. It’s dusty, and it gets hot, but that’s the nature of the work we do. We don't have any polished floors or fancy art on the walls. It’s a practical space where people wear boots and get their hands dirty. We take our lunches together in a small break area, mostly talking about the weekend or the commute. The link road is always under some kind of repair, so there’s usually some construction going on nearby. It’s a busy, functional spot that serves us well. We don't try to be something we’re not; we’re just a part of the industrial landscape here. The days are long, but we just keep at it and get the work finished.
