Sri Ranganatha Coffee Works

Sri Ranganatha Coffee Works is at 38/746 on KM Road in Mudigere. If you’ve ever driven through this part of the country, you know it’s all about the coffee hills and the green scenery. We are right on the main road, so we see all the traffic and travelers going by every day. Our building is pretty modest and doesn't stand out much. We’ve got the coffee processing equipment in the back and a small space in the front for visitors. It’s a very local operation through and through. We get the beans from the nearby estates and we do the hard work right here on site. The smell is what most people notice first when they walk in. It’s that deep, earthy coffee scent that gets into your clothes and stays there. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy modern stuff. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for decades. We talk to the farmers, we handle the beans, and we make sure the quality is what it should be. The floor is concrete and the roof is sturdy enough for the heavy rains we get in Mudigere during the monsoon. Sometimes the power cuts out for hours and we have to wait it out, but that’s just life in the hills. We aren't trying to be the biggest coffee place in India. We just want to do right by the beans and the people on KM Road.
