Mudremane Coffee Curers

Mudremane Coffee Curers is out on Sakleshpura Road, specifically at numbers 24 and 25. Being in Mudigere means we are right in the heart of where everything grows. The curing process is a long one, and we have to pay attention to the weather. If it rains when we don't expect it, it causes a lot of trouble for the beans sitting out. We have a lot of space here, but it always feels full of bags and equipment. The trucks come in and out all day, kicking up dust on the road. It’s a noisy business, especially when the drying machines are running. We’ve been at this for a while, so we know the sound of the machines when they are working right and when they are about to act up. Most of the people working here live just a short walk away. We aren't trying to be fancy or corporate. We just wear our work clothes and get dirty every day. The coffee smell is very strong, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the piles of beans. Sometimes we take a break and sit by the road to watch the traffic going toward Sakleshpura. It’s a busy road, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on the curing and making sure the bags are stacked correctly in the warehouse. It’s a lot of lifting and moving, but it keeps us in shape and we like the work well enough.
