Hasiru Homestay

Our place is located in Mudigere, not too far from the Agriculture College. The name Hasiru means green, which makes sense because there are plants and trees everywhere you look around here. Being near the college means we see a lot of students and teachers walking by on the road. The atmosphere in this part of Mudigere is fairly relaxed compared to the main town area. We spend our mornings watering the garden and making sure the rooms are aired out properly. It is a family-run thing, so someone is always around the kitchen or the front porch. The weather here can get quite misty, especially in the early hours before the sun really hits the hills. We have a few dogs that keep watch, though they mostly just sleep in the shade. The house isn't new, but it is solid and stays cool during the hotter months. We get a lot of visitors who are just passing through or visiting someone at the college. We don't do much advertising; mostly people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the gate. There is a small path that leads down towards the back where it gets even quieter. It is a simple life here, focused on keeping the place clean and making sure the coffee is hot for whoever stops by. We like the pace of things in this neighborhood and the people who visit from time to time.
