Farida Assam Tea

Farida Assam Tea is located at 25, Marasandiram in Kasavugatta Village. It is a quiet spot, away from the big city noise. We spend most of our time dealing with the tea that comes in from the estates. Living and working in a village means things move a bit slower, which we don't mind. We have a small building where we keep the leaves. It is a lot of hands-on work every single day. We don't have machines doing everything for us. We use our hands to check the quality and fill the bags. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight or just wait it out. That is just how life is here. People in the village stop by to chat or buy a small packet for their breakfast. We know most of our customers by name. It is not a corporate environment at all. There are stacks of burlap sacks in the corner and the smell of tea is everywhere. We keep our records in a simple notebook mostly. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works for us at 25, Marasandiram. We aren't trying to grow into a massive company. We just want to keep doing what we do well. The sun gets hot in the afternoons, so we take a break then. It is a steady life, focused on the tea and the village community around us. We are just local people working hard to make things work.
