Caps & Seals Industries

We are out in Changodar at the Paancharatna Industrial Estate. Our unit is 57/A-3. It’s a factory setting, so it’s noisy and there's a lot of metal around. We make caps and seals for bottles and containers. The machines run most of the day. It’s dusty work, and we wear our work clothes every day. We aren't a corporate office with suits. It’s a hands-on place. The road outside, Sarkhej Bavla, is always busy with trucks. We’ve been in this spot for years. My dad started this and now I’m running things with a couple of guys I’ve known forever. We focus on making sure the machines don't break down. If a press stops, everything stops. It’s not fancy, but it pays the bills. We have stacks of aluminum and plastic sheets everywhere. You have to watch your step. We don't really have a sales team. People just call us when they need stuff. We try to keep the quality decent without making a big deal out of it. It’s just manufacturing. Some days are long, especially when we have a big order. We just keep our heads down and work. The industrial estate is a bit grey, but it's where the work happens. We eat lunch together in the small break room and talk about mundane things. It’s a simple life but we are proud of the stuff we produce here. We just want to do our job and go home to our families.
