If you head down to Cementnagar in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, you'll find us at the Chanda Cement Works. Specifically, we are over by the office where Nigam Kumar, our junior engineer, handles a lot of the daily coordination. This place is an industrial site, so it’s loud and there’s always something moving. We aren't a boutique office. It’s a cement plant environment through and through. The air is thick with the smell of industry and the sound of heavy machinery. We work out of a functional space that is built for durability rather than looks. Everything here is covered in a light layer of gray dust, which is expected. We spend our days looking at schedules, checking equipment, and making sure the junior engineers have what they need to keep things running. It’s a tough environment but it's where we feel at home. We don't have fancy leather chairs or art on the walls. Our decorations are safety posters and technical charts. It’s a very grounded way to work for The A.C.C Ltd. We’ve been part of this landscape for a long time. People who work here usually live nearby in the staff quarters. It is a whole community built around the works. We don't use corporate jargon here; we just talk about what needs to be moved or fixed. It's practical, hard work, and we are fine with that. It's just how we do things in Cementnagar.
