Sakshammahilla Nidhi Limited is located in Chandrapur, specifically in Jatpura, Ward Number 1. It’s a small, practical space for the work we do. We don’t have any fancy neon signs or glass frontages. It’s just a regular building where we handle the financial needs of the local women and their families. Chandrapur can get very hot in the summer, so we usually have the fans going all day. We spend our time talking to people about their savings and making sure all the documents are signed correctly. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in ties or high heels. We dress simply and talk simply with everyone. Sometimes we have to go over the same form a few times, but that's just part of the day. The Itankar Pan Centre next door is always a hub of activity, so there’s always something to see out our window. We’ve become a part of the daily life in Ward Number 1 over time. People come in because they see us here every day. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just try to keep the books straight and be here when the door opens. If you need us, we are usually here from the morning until the evening rush settles down.
