We've been over here at the Manikgarh Cement Plant for a while now. My name is P.N Singh. People around Gadchandur know where to find us. It’s a busy spot in Korpana. Most days, we’re just dealing with the daily grind of the plant. It’s dusty and loud sometimes, but that’s just how it is in this part of Chandrapur. We started out small and stayed that way, mostly because we like knowing everyone who walks through the door. If you’re coming from the main road, just look for the cement signs. We share space with the plant, so it's easy to spot. There isn’t a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs where we get the work done. Life in Maharashtra can be hot, especially out here, but we keep moving. We handle things as they come. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we get through it. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping things running. We don’t have a big website or a social media person. We just show up every morning and do what needs doing. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you need us, you can usually find someone sitting in the office near the gate. We don’t mind a chat if we aren't too swamped with the trucks coming in. Most of our neighbors are just other folks working the plant, so it feels like a community.
