Om Chaitanya Balrugnalay Hospital

Om Chaitanya Balrugnalay Hospital is situated right by the old bus stop in Gonpipri. Being in the Chandrapur district, it gets quite hot and dusty around here. Since we focus on children, the hospital is usually filled with the sound of kids crying or playing. We have some colorful pictures of animals and cartoons taped to the walls to try and make the place look a bit more cheerful for the little ones. The waiting area has long benches where mothers sit with their babies. Because we are so close to the bus stop, there is always the sound of engines and people shouting for passengers in the background. It is a busy spot, and people come from the smaller villages nearby to bring their children here. The building is a bit older, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but we keep the rooms where we see the patients very clean. We have a couple of scales for weighing the babies and some height charts on the doors. Our staff is used to the chaos that comes with a pediatric clinic. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a cafeteria, just the essentials for taking care of the kids who come in. It is a lot of work and can get pretty tiring, especially on the days when the bus stop is extra busy, but we just keep at it and do what we can.
