We run Lloyds Metallics Pvt Ltd out of a space in the Papermill Colony in Ballarpur. Specifically, we are over at Gulmohar Park, staying in Quarter Number E/121, care of S. S. Patil. It’s a quiet area because it’s part of the colony, so we don't get a lot of random foot traffic. Most of our work involves the metallic industry, which is a big deal around Chandrapur. We spend a lot of time on the computer and talking to suppliers. Since we are in the MS region, things follow a certain rhythm. The heat in the summer here is no joke, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the day. It’s not a big industrial plant right at this address; it’s more of the administrative side of things. We keep track of the orders and make sure the metallic parts are moving where they need to go. It’s a small team, and we all know each other well. Living and working in the same colony makes things easier, though it means you never really leave the job. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just focus on the task at hand. If there’s a problem with a shipment, we call the plant and sort it out. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy throughout the year. We like being part of the community in Ballarpur.
