Laxmi Beverages

Laxmi Beverages is right here in Bhakti Mohalla, just off the Main Road. If you are looking for us, we are quite close to the Devi Sthan, so it gets really crowded during the festival times. You can hear the bells from the temple while we are loading up the crates in the back. The space we have is a bit tight, especially when a new shipment of bottles arrives and we have to stack them all the way to the ceiling. We have a few old fans that creak a lot, but they help when the afternoon heat gets bad on the main road. The floor is concrete and stays cool, which is nice. Most of the day is spent checking the caps and making sure the inventory matches the slips. It is a simple setup with a lot of heavy lifting. We know the neighbors pretty well since we have been in this spot for years. Sometimes the delivery rickshaws get stuck in the narrow part of the road, and we have to go out and help move things along. There is always a layer of dust from the road that we have to wipe off the counters every morning. We don’t have any big flashy signs, just the name on the door and the sound of glass clinking together. It is a lot of routine work, but it keeps the day moving. By the time we shut the gates, the street lights are usually flickering on.
