You can find us in the Chawda Building over in Bapat Nagar. We are right across from the Big Bazaar on Nagpur Road, which makes us pretty easy to locate if you’re out shopping. Even though the name Ihrf International Human Rights Foundation sounds quite big, we are just a local group of people working here in Chandrapur. The office is in the Post Colony area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people moving about. We spend most of our time dealing with local issues that people bring to our attention. It’s not always easy work, and sometimes it feels like we are just chipping away at big problems, but we keep at it. Our office is a bit cramped with all the files and papers we’ve collected over the months. We don't have a big staff or a lot of money for decorations. We just have a few desks and some old computers. People come in to tell us their stories, and we listen. Sometimes we can help, and sometimes we just point them in the right direction. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. The tea guy around the corner knows our order by heart now. We aren't doing this for any kind of fame. We just think it’s important for someone in Chandrapur to be looking out for these things and helping where possible. We are just simple people trying to make a difference.
