It is a very rural setting compared to a big city office. We are surrounded by fields and a lot of open space. The office is basically a local house or a small building in the village. It is a different kind of work life here. We don't have high-speed elevators or fancy cafeterias. Instead, we have the local community and a much slower pace of life. We coordinate the work that happens in this part of the state from this small base. It is a bit of a trek to get here from Nagpur city, but it puts us right where the action is for the local projects. We deal with a lot of local labor and material suppliers from the nearby towns. The atmosphere is very informal and relaxed. We sit around a table, talk about what needs to be done for the day, and then go out and do it. There is a lot of mud in the monsoon and a lot of dust in the summer months. We just take it as it comes and get on with it. It is a very basic, honest way of working. We are just a small part of the bigger company, doing our bit here in Katol.
