Appalwar Eye Hospital & Research

We are located on Dhanora Road in Gadchiroli. The address is a bit long on paper, Dr/6/30, but once you’re on the road, the hospital is easy to spot. Appalwar Eye Hospital & Research has been part of this community for some time. We deal with everything from basic eye tests to more complex research into vision problems. Gadchiroli is a unique place to work, and being out here means we see a lot of people who travel from quite far away. The building isn't brand new, but it serves its purpose well. We have rooms for patients to stay if they need to and a lab area for the research side of things. Most days are pretty routine. We start early, clean the lenses, check the charts, and wait for the first bus of patients to arrive. It gets hot here in the summer, so we try to keep the waiting room cool for everyone. Sometimes the research takes up a lot of our time, but looking after the people who walk through the door is what keeps us going. There are a few of us on staff, and we all pitch in where needed. Whether it’s filing folders or helping someone pick out frames, we just get on with it. It’s a practical setup. We aren't trying to be the biggest hospital around, just a place that does its job in Gadchiroli.
