M. S. Khan Fabrication

We do our fabrication work out in Dasna Masoori, right near the Thana Masoori. It is a loud place because of the tools we use. You can usually hear the sound of metal hitting metal or the hiss of the welding machines from the street. Being near the police station makes it a very easy landmark for people trying to find us. Our workshop is mostly open-air with a tin roof to keep the rain off. There are scraps of iron and steel lying around the edges of the yard. We spend the whole day in our work clothes, which are usually covered in grease and soot. It is a tough job, especially when the sun is beating down on the metal. We make gates, frames, and whatever else people need us to weld together. The floor is just hard-packed dirt and concrete in some parts. We don't have a fancy office, just a small wooden bench where we sit to have tea or talk to customers about their orders. The traffic on the road near the Thana is always heavy with trucks passing by. It is a busy, gritty environment, but we like the work. We have been in this spot for a long time and everyone in the local area knows us for our fabrication. It is just basic, hard work done by hand every day.
