Prakash Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at G-315 in the UPSIDC area, right near Oxford College on MG Road. It’s a loud place because we have machines running most of the day. This is Phase 2 of the industrial area, so there’s always a lot of activity and trucks moving about. We handle a lot of metal work and repairs for local businesses and some of the bigger factories nearby. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and there's a lot of oil around, which is typical for an engineering shop. We don’t have a fancy office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in greasy overalls working on a lathe or welding something together. We’ve been at this location for several years now. It’s a practical space meant for getting work done, not for looking pretty. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a customer is in a rush. The heat in the summer can get pretty intense inside the shed, but we keep the fans going. We prefer it when people just bring their parts in and tell us what needs fixing. It’s straightforward work, and we like it that way. No fluff, just machines and tools. The gate is usually open from early morning until late evening. We get a lot of dust from the MG Road traffic, but you get used to it after a while in this business.
