Our printing shop is located at 3003/1 in Sector 28-D. It’s a noisy place because the machines are almost always running from morning till night. We’ve got the old offset presses and some newer digital stuff too, but the smell of ink is the same as it’s always been. I’ve worked here since I was a young man and took over from the previous owner. We print all sorts of things, from small wedding cards to bigger books for local authors. The floor is usually covered in paper scraps and ink stains that never come out. It’s a messy business but we like the work. We aren't trying to be the biggest press in the city, we just want to do a decent job for the people who come in. Sometimes the power goes out in the sector and we have to wait around, which is frustrating. My sons help me out now, so it’s more of a family thing these days. We have customers who have been coming to us for twenty years. They know we’ll get it done eventually, even if we are running a bit behind on a busy week. The lighting in the shop isn't great, but we know where every tool is kept. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the paper rolls and keeping the machines oiled. We don't really do much online, mostly just people walking in or calling us on the landline. It’s a steady life.
