Wire & Wire Products is situated at numbers 6 & 7 on Rasappa Chetty Street in the Park Town area. If you’ve ever been to Park Town, you know exactly how narrow and busy the streets can be. Rasappa Chetty Street is famous for hardware and all kinds of metal goods, so we fit right in with everyone else. It’s a very old part of the city, and our building has that weathered look that comes with many years of constant use. We occupy two units here, which gives us just enough room to store our inventory and keep a small desk for the bills and the incoming orders. It’s always a bit of a squeeze when a new shipment arrives. You have to be careful walking through the narrow aisles because there’s stuff stacked almost everywhere. We don't have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that hum all day long. It gets quite hot in the summer months, but that’s just part of being in this specific neighborhood. We know almost everyone on the street by their first name. It’s a tight-knit community of traders and shopkeepers. We don't spend any money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. People usually find us because they know the area well or they’ve been coming to this street for years to find what they need. We just focus on keeping the stock ready and helping the people who walk through the door. It’s a simple way of doing things that has worked for a long time.
