About Vivek Khanna Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I work out of H.No.143 in Sector 46-A. As Vivek Khanna Architect, I have seen a lot of changes in this sector over the years. My office is basically a setup in my house where I keep all my drafting tools and site records. It is a quiet street usually, which helps when I need to concentrate on a complicated roof plan or a staircase detail. Most of the people who come to see me are neighbors or folks from nearby sectors. They usually want to add a room or maybe build a whole new house on a plot they just bought. I spend a fair amount of time driving to different sites to make sure the brickwork is looking right. It is a lot of walking around in the sun and talking to the laborers. I do not use any fancy sales pitches. I just show people what I have done and we go from there. Architecture is a slow process. You cannot rush the drawings or the concrete. Sometimes I am up late finishing a set of plans for a morning meeting. It is just the way it goes when you are running your own practice. I have got a lot of old samples of tiles and wood sitting in the corner of the room. It is a bit of a mess, but I know where everything is. People drop by, we talk, and we figure out the plan.
