Unique Instrumentation Control

We are located over at the Manimajra Sub-Station on Kishangarh Road in Chandigarh. Our specific spot is H. No. -2A, right near the Power Grid Corporation of India area. It is a 220/66Kv site, so there is quite a lot of heavy equipment and high-voltage gear around us. We handle the instrumentation and control side of the operations here. It is not the kind of place where people just wander in off the street. You have to have a reason to be here. The atmosphere is very industrial, with a constant hum from the transformers and wires running everywhere. We spend our days checking control panels and making sure everything is reading correctly. It is a necessary part of the grid, even if most people never see what goes on inside. Our office is very basic, just enough room for a desk and some technical manuals. We do not have any pictures on the walls or anything like that. It is a purely functional space. The road outside can get quite dusty when the big trucks pass through toward Kishangarh. We have been stationed here for a while now, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the sub-station life. It is quiet work in a noisy place. We do not talk much during the day; we just keep an eye on the screens and the dials. It is a bit out of the way, but this is where we are needed.
