The Design Studio

The Design Studio is tucked away in Sector 34, right along the Sherpur Byepass Road. If you know the area, you know those SCO buildings can look a bit similar, but we are at 348-349. It’s a busy part of the world with the traffic from the bypass always humming in the background. Sometimes it’s a bit loud, but you get used to the sound of trucks and cars after a few weeks. We spend most of our time inside these walls, trying to make sense of different layouts. The office isn't exactly a showroom; it's more of a working space with rolls of paper stacked in the corners and some old computers that hum a bit too loudly when they’re working hard. We’ve been here for a bit, and the routine is pretty much the same every morning. Open up the shutters, get the lights on, and start looking at whatever project is on the table. It’s not always glamorous work. There are days when we just stare at a blank screen or a piece of paper for hours, trying to figure out a small detail that isn't working right. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall because we’re often right in the middle of something. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations because we’d rather use the space for our drafting tables and samples. There’s a small shop nearby where we get tea, and that usually helps us get through the afternoon slump. It’s just a normal place where we try to get things done.
