The Body Shop

Working at I T Park 25 is a bit different because of all the office buildings nearby. The shop is right where everyone walks on their way to work or during their lunch breaks. It’s mostly a lot of glass and bright lights in here. We spend our mornings getting the displays looking right. It can be a bit repetitive, putting the same jars in rows, but it keeps the place looking decent. The floor is that hard material that makes a lot of noise when people walk in with boots. We don't have much wall space because of the big windows, so we have to be smart about where we put the bigger items. The bins get full pretty fast with all the packing paper from the new shipments. We usually have a radio playing something quiet in the background, mostly just to fill the space when it’s not crowded. Most of the people who come in are in a hurry, so we try to be quick with the registers. We’ve learned which times of day are going to be the loudest. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, but that’s just how it is. Sometimes we sit on the stools behind the counter if our legs get tired. The street outside is always full of cars and people in suits. We just stay here and keep the shelves full and the glass clean for whoever walks in.
