Tectonics Architects

Tectonics Architects is based on the ground floor of SCO-47 in the Surya Complex. We are right opposite Gopal Sweets in the Leela Bhawan area of Patiala, but we also spend quite a bit of our time working over in Chandigarh. Our office is usually full of technical drawings, physical models, and a lot of tracing paper scattered across the tables. Architecture sounds like a fancy profession, but most of our day is actually spent figuring out where a wall should go or how to get better ventilation into a room. We have several drawing tables and a few computers for the digital work. Since we are on the ground floor, we see people walking by all the time, especially those going for snacks at the sweets shop across the road. Sometimes the smell of food from outside makes us hungry while we are trying to hit a deadline. We are just a small group of people who really like designing buildings and seeing them get made. We do not have a polished sales pitch. Usually, someone walks in with a plot of land and a rough idea, and we just start sketching right there to see what might work. We have done all sorts of projects, from small residential houses to larger commercial complexes. Each job has its own set of challenges with planning permissions and materials. We just try to make buildings that look decent and actually function well for people.
