Sujay Sen Gupta Architect

I’m based out of Sector-12. It’s a pretty straightforward part of town and I’ve been in this office for quite some time. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of shelves. I have a big drawing board that I don't use as much as I used to since everything went digital, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it. It’s good for leaning on when I’m talking on the phone. The walls are a bit bare, maybe a couple of framed plans from years ago that have faded a bit in the sun. I usually get here early before the traffic picks up. It’s nice to have a few minutes of peace with a hot drink before the phone starts going. My chair makes a weird squeaking noise every time I lean back, which I should probably fix one of these days. There’s a small window that lets in a bit of breeze if the weather is nice. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us working through the projects we have on hand. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just steady work day after day. Most of our visitors are people from the neighborhood or builders we’ve known for years. It’s a simple life and I like it that way. Just drawing and planning until it's time to head home.
