Sugar Care Ayurvedic Medicine

Our shop is located in Sector 54 of Mohali, right near the Bassi Theatre. It’s a landmark everyone knows, so we just tell people to look for the theatre and they find us easily enough. We focus on Ayurvedic medicines, so our space often has that distinct smell of herbs and dried roots. It’s a small place but we keep it packed with all sorts of traditional remedies. The Sector 54 area is quite residential around us, which makes for a different vibe than the industrial parts of town. People walk by on their way to the market or the cinema. We have wooden shelves that we built ourselves to hold all the glass jars and packets. It’s not a modern-looking pharmacy; it looks more like an old-fashioned apothecary. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in looking for something specific for their health. We don't have a computerized system for everything, so we still rely on hand-written notes and a big ledger book for some of our tracking. It feels more personal that way. The light comes in through the front window in the afternoon and hits the dusty shelves. We keep a small stove in the back for making tea. It’s a quiet life mostly, just managing the shop and helping the locals. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of our regular visitors by name and their usual orders.
