About Sudha Vashisht Ojha Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
The office is in S.C.O. No.371-72-73 on the second floor. Sector 34-A is always buzzing with people and cars, so finding a parking spot can be a bit of a headache some days. Once you get upstairs, it’s a bit quieter. I’ve been working from this spot for a while now. The space is fairly large since it covers a few units combined together. I have my main area and then there’s space for the assistants to sit. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and arguing about where a wall should go. I like to keep a few plants near the window but I always forget to water them so they look a bit sad. The furniture is practical, nothing too modern or uncomfortable. We have a big table in the middle where we spread out the larger maps and site plans. It’s usually covered in coffee mugs and pens. I try to keep a routine but every day ends up being a bit different depending on who walks through the door. Sometimes it’s a contractor with a problem or a client who just wants to chat about colors. We have these old metal cupboards for filing and they make a loud clanking sound when they close. It’s just a normal office where we do our best to get the drawings right. It’s a lot of sitting and thinking and drawing.
