Subhash Mangat & Company

Subhash Mangat & Company is based in Sector 22 B, inside the SCO-1131-32 building. Being in Sector 22 means there is always a crowd outside and finding parking can be a real nightmare some days. Our office is up the stairs, and once you get inside, it feels a lot quieter than the street below. We have rows of steel cabinets filled with folders and papers that have been gathering over the years. The desks are large enough to spread out all the documents we need to look at. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out the sound of the traffic outside. Most of our day is spent reading through files or meeting with people who come in with their problems. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the stacks of paper get a bit high. There is a small pantry in the back where we make coffee and sometimes eat our lunch when we are too busy to go out. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps when you are looking at small print all afternoon. It is a professional place but not stiff. We know our regulars by their first names and we usually ask about their families before getting down to the actual work. It is just a steady, daily routine in a very busy part of Chandigarh.
