Our office is on the second floor of Sco-183 in Sector-26. We are right by the Grain Market on Madhya Marg, so there is always something going on outside. Usually, there’s the sound of trucks or people shouting down below which you get used to after a week or two. My workspace isn’t huge but it fits everything I need. I’ve got a couple of drafting tables that take up most of the space. The light comes in pretty well in the afternoons through the front windows. I usually get in around ten and start checking messages. We do a lot of local work around Chandigarh. It’s funny how many people stop by just because they saw the name on the board outside. I keep a small kettle in the corner for making tea because the market tea is okay but sometimes I just want to stay at my desk and keep working. The floor is a bit scuffed from moving chairs around for years. I have some books on the shelf about old buildings that nobody really looks at anymore. We try to keep things organized but once a project gets going, there are papers and samples all over the floor. It’s just the way it is here. I’ve been in this sector for a long time and I know most of the shop owners nearby. It’s a good community to be part of.
