About Sohan Lal Saharan Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
Start by saying where we are. Sector-12, right near the PEC campus. It’s a busy spot but we’ve been here a good while now. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers everywhere. We do architectural stuff mostly. My desk is near the window so I see students walking by all day. It gets noisy when classes let out. Some mornings are quiet though. I just sit here with a cup of tea and look over some old drawings. We have these big filing cabinets that have been here since the start and they squeak every time you open them. People come in to ask about house plans or sometimes just for directions because the campus is so big. It’s not a fancy place but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on the computer but I still like using a pencil sometimes. The walls are covered in some old photos and a few site maps that have started to yellow at the edges. It feels like home because I spend more time here than anywhere else. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don't have a big sign outside, just enough for people to find the door. Sometimes the internet acts up but usually, it’s fine. We just keep busy with whatever project is on the table this week. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
