Skylark Construction Company

We set up Skylark Construction Company in Sector 44, specifically in Block C at number 2161. It is a standard neighborhood where everyone kind of knows what everyone else is doing. Our office is basically a hub for the crews to meet up before they head out to the sites. We have a lot of boots near the door and a few desks that are covered in dust and grit. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy meeting. We usually have a pot of tea going and some maps pinned to the walls. Sector 44 is pretty central so it makes it easy for the trucks to get in and out. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s dead quiet. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on where the sand and cement ended up. There is always a bit of a mess in Block C with our gear coming and going. We’ve lived and worked around here for a long time. The office is just a place to keep the paperwork straight while we handle the actual building work elsewhere. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel to it. The chairs are old and the lighting isn't great but we get the job done. We often have builders coming in to check schedules or grab some tools they forgot.
