Singla Shakun Architect

Singla Shakun Architect operates out of 22, Sector-16A. It is a simple setup with a couple of large tables where we spread out our plans. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few old calendars and some sketches we taped up a long time ago. We have samples of different materials like wood and stone scattered on the floor in the corner because we haven't found a shelf for them yet. It is not a very formal place, so the floor is often covered in bits of paper and pencil shavings. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. Sector 16A is a decent neighborhood, and it stays fairly quiet most of the time, which helps us focus on the drawings. We do not have a big team or any marketing people. It is just us doing the work and talking to people who come in with their ideas for buildings. Sometimes we spend the whole day just arguing over where a staircase should go or how to fix a measurement that doesn't look right. We keep a stash of biscuits in a tin for when we get hungry in the late afternoon. It is a straightforward way of working, and we like that we can just be ourselves without having to put on a show for anyone.
