Singh Bachitter Architect

The office for Singh Bachitter Architect is located up on the second floor of SCO 20 on Madhya Marg in Sector 7-C. It is a pretty straightforward workspace with a lot of drafting tables and rolls of blueprints tucked into every corner. We spend a lot of our time looking at computer screens or sketching out ideas on whatever scrap of paper is handy. The office isn’t particularly large, but it’s enough for the team we have here. There is usually a bit of dust around because we are often coming back from visits to various construction sites. We handle a lot of the local building codes and technical drawings that people need for their projects. Sometimes the plotter jams right when we have a big deadline, which is always a bit of a headache. We don’t have a fancy lobby, so when a client comes in, they usually just pull up a chair next to one of our desks. The windows look right out over the busy street, so we see the city moving all day long. It is a very practical environment where the focus is just on getting the drawings right. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the routine suits us. We grab lunch from the shops nearby and then get back to the drafting. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. It’s just how we run the firm here in Chandigarh. We just keep our heads down and get the plans finished.
