About Sharma Anita Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I’ve been working out of House Number 346 A in Sector 30-A for a good stretch of time now. It’s a quiet spot, which helps when I need to focus on drawings or look over some site plans. Being an architect means I spend a lot of my day staring at lines on a screen or sketching things out on bits of paper that end up all over the table. The neighborhood is familiar, and I like that I don't have to commute into a big city center every single morning. My office is basically just a room with too many books and a big desk that never seems to stay organized no matter how many times I tidy it up. People stop by sometimes to talk about their houses or what they want to change. It's mostly just me here, though I have a few folks I call when I need extra hands for a project. Designing buildings is a lot of back and forth, trying to make things fit where they are supposed to. I’ve lived around here long enough to know what people like and what usually works with the local weather and the way the plots are laid out. It’s practical work, really. You have to think about where the pipes go and how the light hits the rooms in the afternoon. It keeps me busy enough that I rarely have time to even clear out my email inbox.
