Cross Roads Hr Services is tucked away on the 2nd floor of Sco-216. We have been helping local people find work and companies find reliable staff from this little office for a good while now. It involves a lot of climbing up and down those stairs every day, which I guess helps keep us all in decent shape. The office is usually quite full of paper resumes and people coming in and out for their scheduled interviews. We spend most of our time looking through files and trying to figure out which person would be a good fit for a specific job opening. It is a lot of listening to people talk about their lives and what they are looking for in a career. We are not one of those huge, famous recruitment firms with glass walls and expensive coffee machines in the lobby. We just have a few simple desks and a small water cooler in the corner. Sometimes the room gets a bit cramped when several candidates show up at the exact same time. We try our best to keep everything organized, but in the middle of a really busy afternoon, things can definitely get a bit chaotic around here. We talk to all kinds of different people, from young kids looking for their very first job to older folks with many years of experience. We do not make any grand promises about finding the perfect position. We just do the work and try to help people out.
