Sahil Woollen & General Store

Our shop, Sahil Woollen & General Store, is located in the Manimajra area, specifically at 2263/8 in Mariwala. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of people moving around all the time. During the colder months, the place is absolutely packed with sweaters, shawls, and all kinds of warm clothes. We have bags and boxes of woollens stacked almost to the ceiling. When it gets warmer, we shift things around and focus more on the general store side of the business. It’s a lot of work moving all that heavy inventory back and forth. The shop is on a narrow street, so it can be a bit of a struggle when we are getting new stock delivered. We’ve had this place for years, and it has a certain smell of old wool and household goods that you just get used to. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to do it. Customers come in and browse through the stacks, and we just let them take their time. We don't bother anyone while they are looking. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the fabric, but we sweep up every evening. We’re just a regular shop trying to provide what the local people need for their homes and their families. It’s nothing special, just a honest business in a busy neighborhood.
