About Richa Khurasia Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I've been working out of this spot at 1074 in Sector-37-B for a while now. It's a first-floor office, nothing too fancy, just where I get the work done. People usually find me here hunched over some plans or trying to figure out where a pillar should go. Architecture is a lot more about fixing small problems than people realize. I spend a lot of time on the road too, checking in on sites to make sure the walls are going up straight. Sometimes the dust is a bit much, but that is part of it. It’s mostly just me and a few tools here. I’ve lived around this area long enough to know how the sunlight hits the buildings in the afternoon. That helps when I'm trying to sketch something out. I don't really do the big fancy office thing. I prefer just sitting down with someone and talking through what they need. It’s a lot of back and forth, really. One day I'm looking at tiles and the next I'm arguing with a contractor about a pipe. It gets busy, and the desk usually has coffee rings on it. I try to keep things simple. If you're looking for the place, it's right there in the sector, pretty easy to spot once you're on the street. I like the neighborhood vibes here. It's quiet enough to actually think about a design without too much noise.
