About Ranjan Shivani Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
We are based out of House Number 1415 in Sector 39-B. It is a residential area, so it feels a bit more like a home than a stiff corporate office. Shivani works from here, and the atmosphere is generally pretty quiet, which helps when you need to focus on detailed drawings. There are trees outside that give some shade during the hot months, and the neighbors are all people we’ve known for years. The office itself is just a few rooms filled with books, rolls of tracing paper, and a couple of computers that seem to always be humming. We don't have a fancy lobby, so when people come by, they usually just walk right into the work area. It is a bit messy at times, especially when a project is in the middle of a big phase. We usually have various material samples like tiles or wood pieces sitting on the floor or the side tables. It is a hands-on kind of place. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to contractors or checking on deliveries. The day usually goes by pretty fast. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we just want to make sure the plans we draw are accurate and that the people who live in this sector know they can just stop by if they need something. It’s a comfortable way to spend the work week, even when the desk gets buried under a lot of papers.
