Prem Sagar Govt. Contractors For Hydel Power Projects

We’ve been here in Chandigarh at Sector 15-D for quite a while now. Most of what we do involves the government contracts, specifically for hydel power projects. It’s a lot of coordination and technical stuff that keeps the team busy throughout the year. Sometimes the projects take us far out to the sites where the dams are, so the office here acts as the main base for all the paperwork and planning. It isn't a very big fancy office, just a practical space where we handle the tenders and meet with officials. People know us as Prem Sagar and we just stick to what we know, which is the hydel side of things. The work is steady but it gets stressful with the deadlines and the specific requirements the government has. We’ve seen the sector change a bit over the years, yet the core of the work remains about the same. It’s about getting the turbines and the infrastructure right so things run like they should, or at least how they are meant to. Most mornings start with tea and going over the project updates from the field staff. We don't really do much else besides this heavy engineering work. It’s what we’ve built our life around here in 15-D. The weather in Chandigarh is nice but when we have to go to the project sites in the hills, it gets a bit rough. That’s just part of the job I suppose, anyway.
