Preet Clinic

You have to take the elevator up to the top floor of Piccadily Square in Sector 34A to find us. Being in the Sub City Centre of Chandigarh means there is always something going on downstairs, but up here on the top floor, it’s a bit more removed from the bustle. The windows give a decent view of the surroundings, which is nice when we have a moment to actually look out and breathe. The clinic is basically just a series of rooms off a main hallway. We’ve got the exam tables and the blood pressure cuffs, and everything is kept in its place as much as possible. Sometimes the air conditioning in the building hums a little too loudly, but you get used to it after a few hours of working. We see people for all sorts of regular health stuff. It’s a lot of writing notes in charts and checking temperatures. The staff has been together for a while, so we mostly just move around each other without needing to say much. Chandigarh is a planned city, but our day-to-day feels a bit more spontaneous depending on who walks through the door. We don't have any fancy brochures or big marketing campaigns. We just open up in the morning, see who needs help, and go home when the work is finished. It’s a straightforward way to run a clinic, and it seems to suit the people in Sector 34A just fine. We just focus on the basics.
