Prasar Bharti(Bci) Civil Const Wing

Our office is the Prasar Bharti Civil Construction Wing, and we are tucked away in Sector 45-A of Chandigarh at 415/2. It is a government-related setup, so things move at a certain pace here. We mostly look after the upkeep and building needs for the broadcasting infrastructure in this region. Chandigarh is a very organized city, but buildings still age and need constant attention. We deal with a lot of blueprints, site inspections, and contractor meetings throughout the week. Our desk is usually piled high with files and maintenance requests for various sites. It is not a flashy place, just a functional office where we coordinate the civil works. Some days are spent out in the field checking on masonry or electrical layouts, while other days we are just stuck inside doing the paperwork. We don't really do much advertising because our work is specific to the department’s needs. The staff here has been around for years and we know the layout of Sector 45-A like the back of our hands. It’s a lot of responsibility to make sure the structures stay safe and operational for the long haul. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks assigned to us. It’s steady work and it keeps the local infrastructure running like it should. We aren't trying to be anything other than a hardworking civil wing. There is always a pot of tea going in the afternoon.
