Located at 250-B, Kendriya Vihar, Sector-48-B, this is where Prabhjot Kaur Kukal Architect operates. It’s a residential area, so it’s usually pretty peaceful around here compared to the city center. The office is set up in a way that feels more like a home than a workplace. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with books and old project files. The sunlight comes through the main window in the morning and hits the drafting boards perfectly. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know how to get things done. There’s always a stack of mail on the side table that needs sorting. Sector-48-B is a nice place to be, and we’ve grown fond of the view of the courtyard from our desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sketching out rough ideas on napkins before they ever make it to the computer. The floor is covered in a rug that’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We don't really do the whole polished corporate thing. It’s more about the work and the drawings. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it’s dark outside before we’ve even thought about dinner. It’s just the way it goes when you’re deep into a design. We keep things simple and focus on the task at hand without any extra fuss or unnecessary noise. The kettle is almost always on for another round of tea.
