Pankaj Malik Architect

Located at H.No.41, Sector 9-A, this is the spot for Pankaj Malik Architect. It’s a straightforward setup without any unnecessary frills. We have a couple of big desks and some computers that stay on almost all the time because we are always working on something. The office is part of a residential area, so it’s fairly peaceful throughout the day. You might hear a dog barking or a car passing by outside, but that’s about it for noise. We spend most of our time staring at screens or talking to people about where their walls and doors should go. It’s not high-tech or futuristic. We have a lot of pencils that are sharpened down to nubs and stacks of old blueprints that have been folded and unfolded a hundred times. Sometimes we have clients come by to sit and look at sketches, and we just clear off a corner of a desk for them to sit at. We don't have a dedicated meeting room with a big table. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of paper and maybe a few crumbs from someone's afternoon snack. It’s a lived-in space that feels comfortable. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the stairs are safe or the kitchen isn't too cramped. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do here. We just draw buildings and hope they turn out the way they were supposed to.
