About Pallav Mukherjee Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
If you find yourself in Sector 11-A, look for number 109. That’s where Pallav Mukherjee Architect is located. The office is basically a few rooms filled with light and a lot of paper scattered on every flat surface. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles or expensive furniture. There is a large table in the center where we spread out the big blueprints, and usually, there are three or four of us leaning over them with pens and rulers in our hands. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few scribbled notes and a clock that’s five minutes fast. It’s a plain workspace where the main focus is just getting the job done properly. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighborhood has changed around us, but the office stays pretty much the same year after year. We have a lot of old books on construction and design that nobody has touched in a long time, but we keep them anyway. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't wear suits or have big meetings in formal boardrooms. We just talk over the partitions and share ideas as they come to us. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of ink right when we need it most, which causes a bit of a scramble. It’s those little things that make it feel like a real place. We aren't trying to impress anyone; we just want to get the measurements right.
