Paint Point

Working out of 294 Industrial Area Phase I isn't exactly glamorous but it works for us. Paint Point has been here for a while and the walls are probably covered in more layers of dust than actual paint at this point. The industrial area is always noisy with trucks and machines, which suits us just fine. Inside, it smells like chemicals and fresh mixing. We spend a lot of time lugging heavy buckets from one side of the room to the other. It’s a lot of physical work and by the end of the day, our clothes usually have a few spots on them. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a warehouse-style space where we keep the supplies. Usually, I’m the one answering the door while someone else is in the back counting the tins. We keep a ledger on the main desk to track what goes out. It's a bit old-fashioned but it works better than the computer sometimes. Customers come in looking for specific shades or just general supplies and we do what we can to find what they need in the piles. It gets hot in the afternoons because the roof is metal, so we keep the fans going at full blast. It’s a simple life here and we don’t try to make it seem like more than it is. We’re just here to provide the materials. Every morning the routine starts over and we just keep the work moving.
