About Navneet K Bahga Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I work out of E-3 in the Staff Complex at CCET in Sector-26. It’s a bit of a specific location, being tied to the college campus area, but it works well for me. My office is a small space where I spend most of my day. It’s filled with the usual stuff you’d expect—lots of books, rolls of paper, and a computer that’s seen better days. Architecture in a place like Sector-26 is interesting because of the way the city was planned. I’ve spent a lot of time studying the local buildings and how they hold up over time. I don't have a big staff, so I’m the one doing the drawing, the measuring, and the site visits. It can get pretty tiring, especially when I have to go back and forth between the office and a construction project across town. I’ve lived and worked around here for a long time, so I’m used to the rhythm of the place. My way of working is pretty direct. I don't use a lot of fancy jargon or try to impress people with big words. I just look at the space and try to figure out the best way to use it. Sometimes I’m sketching on the back of an envelope while I’m out on a site visit. It’s just a practical, everyday job for me. I like being involved in the small details that make a building work.
